Stavropol State Medical University Library

The library - “the first laboratory of a higher educational institution” (in the words of Academician IG Petrovsky) is intended to provide great assistance in the multifaceted scientific and educational activities of the university, since it is from it that students begin their first steps at the university.

The scientific library of the SSMU opened simultaneously with the institute in 1938, the only employee from the first days began to organize the book fund. Unfortunately, the archives did not preserve his last name.

The book fund was created not only by buying and exchanging, doctors and scientists brought books from their personal libraries, and in 1939 there were 1,200 scientific and educational literature in the library. By the beginning of World War II there were 3,000 copies in the library. In September 1941, the Dnepropetrovsk Medical Institute evacuated to Stavropol donated 10,000 copies of books to the library, but during the occupation the library’s book collection was badly damaged. By 1955, the library fund was 88,000 copies a reference apparatus is created in the library: alphabetical and systematic catalogs, thematic card files, which makes it much easier for readers to search for literature.

The library team was repeatedly awarded certificates of honor, in 1982, won first place in the competition of young librarians among libraries of universities of the city.

The library occupies three floors, the total area of ??which is 2,460 square meters. There are 2 subscriptions: scientific and educational, a general reading room for 80 seats, an electronic reading room for 10 workstations, in addition, there are 15 reading places for group classes. In the electronic reading room to the services of users access to the Internet, access to the electronic catalog, electronic library systems with which the university enters into agreements. The library staff has 23 automated workstations. In the hostel number 4 is a branch of the library with 1 workstation and a reading room. The library of STMU is constantly developing, its book fund is growing, forms of work are changing, methods of serving readers are being improved.

Since 2010, the scientific library was headed by Tatyana Vladimirovna Shatalova. Now the library has about 400 thousand units of storage, annually the library serves about 8,000 readers, who are given more than 600 thousand copies of educational, scientific and fiction literature.

It offers readers the richest fund in the region of domestic medical periodicals.

The library is the only large medical library in the region and partially fulfills the functions of the regional medical library (which is not in the region, unlike other regions), serving not only readers working or studying at the university, but also all doctors in the city and region.

The efficiency of the library depends on the understanding and support of each employee of the team of new ideas and programs. The library staff consists of 24 employees. These are highly qualified specialists, enthusiasts of their work, many years and forces dedicated to the library profession.

STUDY OF HEPATOTOXICITY OF NIOSOMAL FORM OF DOXORUBICIN

Bazikov I. A., Beyer E. V., Maltsev A. N., Goptareva E. A., Malinina N. I., Botasheva V. S., Korolkova V. I. Stavropol State Medical University, Russia

The study of chronic toxicity of the niosomal form of doxorubicin when administered systemically to a maximum dose of 2.6 mg/kg has a moderate hepatotoxicity, which was manifested in the cytolytic syndrome and in violation of hematopoiesis and hemostasis parameters. Reducing the dose of niosomal form of doxorubicin to 1.6–2.0 mg/kg did not cause changes in hematological, biochemical and pathological parameters of laboratory animals.

Keywords: niosomes, doxorubicin, hepatotoxic effects, cytolytic syndrome

Interaction niosomal doxorubicin cell membranes.

Bazikov I. A., Lukinova V. V., Maltsev A. N., Diskaeva E. I., Aytekova S. R.

Study of change in the physical and structural properties of the membranes in contact with niosomal form of doxorubicin showed that the incorporation of niosomes increases membrane fluidity. As a result, they are becoming more permeable to water and other small hydrophilic molecules, increasing the speed of lateral diffusion of integral proteins. This increases the speed of transport, including the drugs through cell membranes, which in our opinion, is one of the mechanisms to increase the efficiency of therapeutic action of niosomal form of doxorubicin.

Key words: doxorubicin, niosomes, membranes.

STUDYING OF THE NANOVESICLES OF SILICONE NATURE, USED FOR TRANSDERMAL DELIVERIES OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES

I.A. Bazikov, P.A. Omelyanchyk, E.M. Hatkov, A.L. Ghukassian, Z.A. Seiranidu

The purpose of research was studying the sizes and stability of nanovesicles of silicone nature. Measurements of nanovesicles carried spectrometer and raster electronic microscopy. Electrostatic stability defined by measurement of zeta-potential of samples emulsion with the help of system for the characteristic of nanovesicles. Results of researches of the sizes nanovesicles a method dynamic light to disseminate and the data received by raster electronic microscopy have shown the size from 20 up to 100 nanometres. The analysis of measurements of zet?-potential of nanovesicles, has shown about their electrostatic stability.
